Despite the hype-machine knocking into overdrive for the UK release of Bayonetta, CoD: Modern Warfare 2 continues to top the UK chart for the GAZILLIONTH consecutive week. It really is like Bryan Adam’s Everything I Do.

Bayonetta and Assassin’s Creed II should be up there, as well as Uncharted 2.

This list saddens me; it shows us that people only really care about multi-player games that let you do nothing but shoot people.

Why would game designers want to make games that have fantastic single-player experiences, storylines, and character development if the people want mindless entertainment?

I’m hoping Gran Turismo 5 can knock off Forza Motorsport 3. I still don’t consider Forza to be better than GT, despite popular opinion.

I still need to pick up Dragon Age – next month! And rent Uncharted 2 (maybe buy afterwards). I am so behind.

Again, I still own none of these games on this list, I do hope to buy Forza 3 sometime, as someone above said about it being compared to GT, when I realised that 360 wasn’t getting GT I started looking for an alternative.

I also think it’s too close to christmas for the game chart to really settle back into ‘hardcore gamer’ territory. So we’ll see what happens.
