As if we haven’t seen enough gorgeous teaser trailers lately, Final Fantasy XIII is now getting in on the act by offering up a four and a half minute spectacular to whet the appetites of those of us still awaiting the western release.
Although it’s already out and causing a stir in Japan (did you see the photos of the queues?!), Square Enix are anxious that the rest of the world doesn’t lose sight of the latest Final Fantasy title. So just to keep us bubbling with excitement, they’ve released a new trailer. And here it is:
Final Fantasy XIII – out on the PS3 and XBox 360 – is scheduled for release in March 2010.
What are your thoughts on the latest teaser?
:B I’m so excited. I LOVE THE LOOK OF THIS COMBAT SYSTEM AHH! Although I resented FFX-2, I really enjoyed the easy-flow of combat and same goes for how this looks.
(Although I wish the background music wasn’t so loud. I couldn’t hear the dialogue)
And that the Cid in this game looks pretty cool.
And the new Sephiroth-like villain is pretty hot. Oh geez, there I go.
From what I can see so far, I think I really like the comradery they all seem to have with each other. Y’know how in most games, it’s always the “lone wolf” and how you’re alienated or everyone’s a stranger and they kind of get along ’cause of their own plans? That’s why I always liked FF7, because those characters really toughed it out and cared for one another once they had the same goal.
Yeah the back ground music is a bit loud and sometimes unbearable. I lower the sound, then I can’t hear dialogue. I think they should have included audio settings so we can lower the back ground music. I guess that piece of code eluded the programmers ;)
WOW.
You know, I’ve been watching some videos on YouTube from people who imported the Japanese version of the game and have been posting walkthroughs (I don’t understand a single word of Japanese so I’m not being spoiled, which is good). Those videos alone are making the wait very painful, but this new trailer is amazing.
The battle system looks spectacular, the characters sound and look cool, the story sounds interesting, and the graphics are amazing – what more do we need?
All of the negative comments that people are making – most of whom have never played the game – have no effect upon me at this point. I’ll be first in line when this comes out.

The trailer…*_* I want this game. I really do. It looks very promising. Graphics, characters, I even like the voices. I was skeptical since the recent Final Fantasy Games (I.e Crystal Bearers) didn’t seem very good, but this one tops it. I really like the story too. I’m greatly looking forward to March.
I really can’t wait for this game. I still don’t like the use of Leona Lewis for the music, it was a little bit detractive from the trailer, and I couldn’t help but feel I was watching a trailer for some teen drama film, but that’s just a side complaint, because the game itself looks really amazing.
