Women in Games Conference: March 2010

Women in Games Conference: March 2010

The University of Bradford and Bradford College will be hosting the Women in Games 2010 conference in March 2010.

Now in it’s seventh year, this UK conference will span 25 and 26 March and is ready to accept your booking. Keynote speakers include Professor Valerie Walkerdine (Children, Gender, Video Games) and Lorna Evans, Project Manager at TIGA.

Yes, it’s disappointingly expensive (a full conference pass costs £200/£125 (concession) or £125 per day). And yes, it’s a lame website. Think they’d stump me a free ticket if I offered a free re-design?

  1. I think they should. You could do so much for that site! Too bad about the costs. :\

    • Yeah. I know it’s an academic conference, but it’s disappointing that they don’t seem concerned in broadening the appeal and getting less affluent but still interested delegates there!

  2. Wow, that site is so bland! They should definitely give you a free ticket for a re-design.

    • I’m sure they’d argue it’s the content that matters, not how pretty it is … though I do think that it’s not impossible to have both!
