God of War III Community Event: San Francisco

God of War III Community Event: San Francisco

8 Mar, 2010

So, you’re in San Francisco. Maybe you live there, or maybe you popped over early in anticipation for GDC 2010 (no, Mitu, I’m not jealous. Honest.). At a loose-end on the evening of Wednesday 10th March? If so, do you fancy wasting a few hours playing God of War III and hanging with the Sony team?

In addition to the usual media/press types at these kind of shindigs, the US Playstation Blog has opened up the GDC Media Event invitation to a “couple HUNDRED” community members. And while that alone seems to cancel out claims that this is a “super-exclusive” event, it does sound pretty cool nonetheless. Jeff Rubenstein, Social Media Manager, writes:

While the hands-on event doesn’t start until 7pm – we’re setting up a Community-Only pre-event party that goes on all day. We’ll have free food from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Tacos of the Gods, anyone?), limited edition schwag giveaways, free wi-fi (we expect you to Tweet!), the chance to put yourself on the God of War III box, autographs with the developers and CHAOS…in the form of games, of course. We’ve got some really good stuff planned, so take the day off, make the drive from LA/Vegas/St. Louis, and get there early!

Places are limited and you can't just show up and blag your way in, so you should toddle on over to Facebook and RSVP on their Facebook event page. Make sure you read the rules too, mmmkay.
