I found it funny how the new Playstation Firmware Update took so long to download and install, when all it was doing was removing the “Install OS” function – especially because I was supposed to be playing online at that point. Turns out a lot of other people did too, some have gone far enough to look deeper into the the whole thing.
Take Treezy from Ironstarmovement.com for instance. He recently posted this on their website.
“So I received a very interesting tip on my YouTube channel today from a user that goes by the name of meowmmmmm. He claims to have heard from a programmer that firmware update 3.21 was far from just removing the other OS function to prevent hackers from exploiting it.
Meowmmm writes; “Update 3.21 which Sony described as a security update and removes installing another OS is a lie. Apparently Sony had claimed that the 8th SPE was not used to increase production yields, when in fact it was reserved for running the “Other OS”. Update 3.21 by Sony is in fact an advanced strike by Sony to hide the fact that the 8th SPE is needed to process the “Move Controller/s” without sacrificing existing graphics and game play.”
If this is in fact true then everything we were made to believe about firmware update 3.21 is a flat out lie (OMFG HERE COMES A CONSPIRACY THEORY). I’m still puzzled to why Sony would lie about something such as this. It could possibly mean that Sony just used the George Hotz situation as a way to cover up their true intentions for removing the other OS function. Maybe they thought that Playstation Move was not a justifiable reason to mention the removal of the extra OS since it isn’t going to debut until fall. We can only ride this off as a rumor (a very big rumor) until more details come through.”
So as it turns out, there is possibly more to the 3.21 update than everyone first realised… maybe… *Puts on Tin Foil hat*
Anyone else find the update to be odd? Do you suspect anything more? Do you trust Sony 100%?

Yeah lets talk a little more about this, Sony says that the reason for removing the feature is “security reasons”. This is not the real reason that they are dropping the feature. Sony and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) have a very close and integrated relationship. With Linux installed on the PS3 you have the ability to use the PS3 to Rip Blu Rays. The MPAA has not been happy with this for quite some time. They have been putting pressure on many other hardware manufactures that have the ability to stream or copy DVDs and Blu Rays. This is just another example of the MPAA teaming up with other large companies to take away our rights.

Think about it. They are controlling us!
