We’ve all come to love (or hate) the classic Nintendo characters such as Kirby, Mario and Bowser. We’ve seen them change from console to console and game to game, but Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto reckons it’s time for a change.
According to Japan’s Sankei Newspaper, when asked about Nintendo’s “next game” at a June 29 Nintendo stockholders meeting, Shigeru Miyamoto replied, “We need new game characters soon, maybe we can move forward on that next year.”
Hopefully this will mean some nice new characters popping up in future Nintendo games, an please no more evil cousins!
