If you’re a fan of driving games of any sort, it seems that Codemasters may well have some new titles which may interest you. In an interview with Develop Online, VP of studios Gavin Cheshire mentioned that Codemasters teams are currently working on: a new Formula 1 title, a Grid title, a Dirt title, a Flashpoint title, Bodycount, one new IP and potential other new IPS. If you are a fan of the Flashpoint series, this means you also have something to look forward too.
Some other interesting parts of the article include how Codemasters is expanding within the UK since Indian multimedia company Reliance Big Entertainment purchased a 50% stake of the company. Codemasters SVP of production Jamie Macdonald also mentions how they are currently hiring new staff in a recruitment drive, while Cheshire discusses how the company is looking for young, talented developers from the UK and Europe. If you are considering a job in the gaming industry, Codemasters could be a company which it could well be worth monitoring.
