Robert Bowling, Community Manager for Infinity Ward, has this week detailed a list of bugs and exploits to be fixed by an impending patch for Modern Warfare 2. Bowling answered fan questions and comments on his Twitter relating to fans concerns over bugs in the ‘Resurgence Pack’, the latest of the two map packs released for the popular shooter.
Particular attention is being paid to fixing a bug affecting the ‘Fuel’ map, included in the ‘Resurgence Pack’. The bug apparently allows for players to hide inside a piece of the surrounding terrain when jumped at from an angle, making them impervious to attack, while still being able to take down opponents.
Confirmation of this fix, and a question as to when gamers can expect to be able to download the patch was met simply with:
“No ETA on it, but I’m hoping to know soon and yes, the Rock on Fuel will be included in those updates.”
The ‘Capture the flag only’ playlist is set to be making a return, as well as hopes to incorporate more Hardcore modes into the multiplayer, with again no concrete release date as of present.
Otherwise to be included in the update will be a fix for an exploit involving the ‘One Man Army’ perk, while the shortcut method for attaining the ‘Spinning Skull’ emblem reserved for those who ace all Prestige modes has been put on a backburner until other issues are ironed out.
Modern Warfare 2 is available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC, with DLC now available for all formats.

Hopefully they put the patch together well; it’d be a shame to see people finding work-arounds to continue exploiting.
Yeah, I haven’t played any of the DLC. I lost interest with the multiplayer for MW2 around Christmas, I could just never seem to join a decent game. But I had heard how buggy some of this DLC can be.
I couldn’t find anywhere stating whether this is a multiformat problem, or just affecting the 360 version. If they had noticed these things before, it’s possible they may have fixed it in time for the PS3 and PC versions, but I really don’t know.
It’s definitely on both console versions, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was on PC as well.
