Two new screenshots for Dungeon Siege 3 released

4 Aug, 2010

Square Enix have released two new screenshots for the upcoming action RPG Dungeon Siege III. Both show off the games impressive graphics, as well as environments that look perfect for the games setting and what appears to be the playable character and an enemy who I presume is called “The Skeleton King” given the picture’s title. The enemy design looks quite striking, even though the playable character looks fairly typical for a game set in the medieval period.

The game is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment who gained fame for their work on medieval action RPG Neverwinter Nights 2 and its expansion packs. While the company’s most recent game Alpha Protocol got mediocre reviews, Dungeon Siege III seems like a return to the formula which helped establish Obsidian as a producer of high quality RPGs. The game is set for a release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC during 2011.
