Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption is already one of the biggest-selling titles of 2010 and is proving to be the game that just keeps on giving as we head rapidly towards a third downloadable expansion. The goodness continues with the Liars and Cheats Pack, out next month for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Set to greatly expand Red Dead Redemption‘s multiplayer experience, the Liars and Cheats Pack will include the team-based Stronghold competitive multiplayer game-type, multiplayer gambling and horse-racing mini-games, new gang hideouts and hunting grounds, 15 new playable characters, new achievements and trophies and a wonderfully evil-sounding new weapon, the Explosive Rifle. To get around network restrictions on the number of free expansions that can be released per game, the Liars and Cheats Pack will also include the challenges, hideouts, leaderboards and posse scoring system previously announced for the Free Roam Pack, originally intended as a free download.
Red Dead Redemption is an open-world action game taking place in early 20th century America and tells the story of gun-toting outlaw John Marston, forced to do the dirty work of the US government in order to be reunited with his kidnapped family. It was initially released in May of this year to massive critical acclaim and incredible sales worldwide.
The Liars and Cheats Pack is released via Xbox Live and PSN on September 21st for 800 Microsoft Points/£7.99.
