European fans of Team 17′s award-winning isometric sci-fi shooter series will be pleased to hear previously Xbox-exclusive Alien Breed: Evolution – the first new entry to the series since 1996 – is getting the same updated release on PlayStation 3 as it did on PC, with all its new features and a new title, Alien Breed: Impact.
This new release packs two-player local and online co-operative gameplay, an all-new Prologue chapter, new enemy designs and an upgrade shop, along with PSN-specific features including online leaderboards and full trophy support.
Alien Breed: Impact is available to download now from the PlayStation Store, retailing at £11.99.

I wonder if this will do better on PS3 than I think it has done on PC.
People with their ear to the ground will know a mod on the PC called Alien Swarm which is a similar concept. It was released quite close to, but before, AB:I on Steam for free. Full game and everything. Free hat (for the wealthy and non-Irish). Alien Breed goes back to 1999 though so might have fans.
The first Alien Breed came out in 1991. Lot of my older friends on Facebook showed their age when I posted this article lol xD
