If you’re a Star Wars geek like myself, you probably already know that this year marks the 30th year anniversary of Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back.
To celebrate this, Sony Playstation 3 along with LucasArts came out with a ton of special features to mark the occasion for their interactive gaming community: Home. For just a few dollars, you can grab some virtual costumes of well-known characters such as Luke, Leia, Han, and even the kick-ass Boba Fett, just to name a few. Also, there’s a ton of neat stuff for those who enjoy decking out their virtual pad (also known as a “HomeSpace”), like a Probe Droid chandelier, a chair in the shape of the Millennium Falcon, and even Han frozen in carbonite to hang on the wall. But personally, I must say that the coolest feature is the re-created Cantina space where you can hang out with other Star Wars fans. Y’know, if that’s your thing.
LucasArts have also went ahead and made things a little easier for you, that is if you want to scoop up everything they’ve made available for Home, with two really great packages: The “Everything Empire Strikes Back Bundle” which includes all 51 total ESB-related items for $24.99US & The “All Furniture Items Bundle” which includes all 10 pieces of ESB-related furniture items for just $9.99US.
Xbox fans shouldn’t be too disappointed though, as they too have also decided to celebrate the 30th year anniversary with their own assortment of Star Wars themed avatar apparel and props on the XBLM.
