The Professor Layton series is a big seller on the DS, so it’s not surprising to see the newest game, “Professor Layton and the Unwound Future” or “Professor Layton and the Lost Future” in Europe , being released in time for the holiday season, about a year after the last games release. The launch trailer for the game is available here. The trailer states the game boasts an impressive 165 puzzles, which should be plenty to keep puzzle fans going.
Even though I still haven’t finished the first game in the series, I do like its art style and its overall feel. I’m sure the game will be a big hit on its release in the US on September 12, 2010 by Nintendo. European fans will have to wait until October 22, 2010, but around this time the Professor Layton anime movie “Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva” will also be released. The anime movie is yet to be announced for the US. It will be released in Europe by Kazé, with Manga Entertainment distributing it in the UK on October 11, 2010.
