Resident Evil: Degeneration to get sequel

14 Sep, 2010

People always seem surprised when I tell them that I actually liked Resident Evil : Degeneration, particularly when compared to the most recent movies. Just don’t make me retell you the story, as it wasn’t exactly memorable. Capcom have announced that they are once again teaming up with Sony to work on the CG project, titled “Resident Evil: Damnation”. The film is also being slated for a release in stereoscopic 3D and will be released at some point in 2012.

The story of this film is still completely under wraps with the exception that Leon Kennedy will be take the main role, a lot like the first film where he shared the spotlight with Claire Redfield. The location used in the film is currently unknown, but it will likely continue the story of the first.

Anyone else excited by this news?

I liked Degeneration too, since the live-action movies were so bad (imo). It could have flowed a lot better though, because it feels like two stories smushed together.
