In Fatismu, Shinji Motoyama, Producer of Valkyria Chonicles 3 has announced that the game will be released for the PSP. He has stated that the reason for the game to be on the PSP rather than the PS3 is the fact it takes longer to develop for the PS3, and feels that they would need an innovative idea to make a new PS3 game standout.
The game revolves around a group called “Nameless”, which is made up of people who caused problems for the military. Valkyria Chronicles 3 is slated for January 27, 2011 in Japan, and it has yet to be announced whether it will get a Western release.
Lots of fans of the Valkyria Chronicles fans had been hoping that the third game of the series would be released on the PS3. Unfortunately for them, it is going to be released on the PSP, but this works for me as I only have a PSP. The main gripe with Valkyria Chronicles 2 was the quality of the story, especially when compared to the first, and many felt it had a lot of anime clichés. If the story improves in the third game I am sure that fans will still be relatively happy.
