It seems like dance games will be become fairly common on Kinect, particularly given the success of other motion control dancing games such as Just Dance on the Wii. Mindscape seems to want a piece of the action, announcing their new title Dance Paradise. The game will challenge two players, each of which will be monitored by the Kinect camera and given a score based on how well they execute the moves.
Mindscape have teamed up with Universal to provide tracks for the games setlist. Let’s just say that some of the song choices are, well, interesting to say the least. Songs like Lady Gaga’s Just Dance and David Guetta’s (featuring Kelly Roland) seem like sensible choices, but Geri Halliwell’s cover of It’s Raining Men and Sophie Ellis Bextor’s Murder on the Dancefloor just seem dated. Other tracks are yet to be announced, but after the games release more tracks will be available as DLC from Xbox Live Marketplace.
