Fans of Dead Rising’s photography gameplay element will be pleased to hear that when our boy Frank (he’s covered wars, you know?) West returns to the series in Dead Rising: Case West, photography will come with him. In an interview with Eurogamer, Rob Barrett revealed that “It’s (photography) back. It’s part of Frank. So when Frank comes back, so does the photography.” What part the photography will take in the games story is somewhat unclear. In single player, Frank is controlled by the AI so the degree of control you have over the photography process is yet to be seen, but in multiplayer a second player can take control of Frank.
Anyway, I’m looking to see the two characters team up, even though I am not as bothered about the photography. While I did enjoy it in the original Dead Rising, I wasn’t upset it was missing in Dead Rising 2. Yet, I’m looking forward to seeing how it’s implemented.
Dead Rising 2: Case West is coming to Xbox Live. The release date is yet to be announced.
