Last week, the Enslaved: Odyssey to the West demo hit the PSN. PS3 owners were able to experience the first level of the new game from Ninja Theory, developers of PS3 exclusive “Heavenly Sword”. The demo features a female called Trip and Monkey, our playable character. It allows you to try out the gameplays fighting and movement mechanics, as well as showing its amazing visuals. However, it gives the feeling like you haven’t even scratched the surface of the gameplay and what is sure to be an epic storyline. Namco Bandai have now added the demo to Xbox Marketplace on Friday which means that 360 owners are now able to experience the demo too.
I was already excited for the game, but now I really can’t wait to get my hands on it. The game is being released on October 8, 2010 in the UK, October 5, 2010 in the USA. The game will also be playable at Eurogamer Expo and London MCM Expo in October as well.
Anyone else tried the demo for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West? If so, what did you think, and has it convinced you to purchase the game? If you haven’t played it yet, I suggest you do it now, I doubt you will be disappointed!

I played the demo and enjoyed it, but some things felt VERY off. In the trailers Monkey would climb across scenery without the slightest pause, but in the demo he stops for a full second after every jump or fall. Also, having the dodge and jump commands on the same button may screw you over in later fights. I just hope its only the demo :/
I agree that the fluency of Monkey’s movements aren’t as smooth as they were displayed in the trailer. I wonder if this is to make you consider your moves more? My main worry is that combat could easily turn into button mashing :/
