Former Nintendo sales chief taking on KidZania
Since leaving Nintendo, Cammie Dunaway has begun working for KidZania, a company that builds and maintains kid-sized cities within shopping malls. Dunaway will be responsible for bringing the Mexican franchise to the United States in 2013. KidZania is a franchise of bite-sized cities that lets children take on over 70 professions so that they can learn about economic principles and proper work ethic. The franchise sounds intriguing and the amount of detail in existing locations is astounding, even featuring miniature vehicles children can drive.
From Nov. 2007 to Oct. 2010, Cammie Dunaway served as executive vice president of sales and marketing at Nintendo. Most notably known for her New Super Mario Bros. Wii demonstration at the 2009 E3, Dunaway also gave interviews at this year’s E3. Before Nintendo, Dunaway was chief marketer at Yahoo, and before that held a management position with Frito Lay for 13 years.
