Lara co-op arriving next week. On Xbox.

22 Oct, 2010

Lady Lara’s not having a great time of it at the moment. Downloadable adventure Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light shipped at the end of August minus its online co-op feature, with assurances from developer Crystal Dynamics that the kinks would be ironed out in time for the PS3 and PC release the following month, while the Xbox release would receive a patch that same day.

Four weeks later, The Guardian of Light was released on PSN and Steam. Minus co-op. Crystal Dynamics’ stated that the online co-operative gameplay promised in the original package was in fact a little extra feature that would be added at a later date. Okay, then!

There may be a chink of light on the horizon however, as we now have confirmation that the co-op feature will be patched into the Xbox 360 release on October 27th, and to sweeten the blow Crystal Dynamics are also throwing in some free downloadable content. Lovely! And PS3 and PC users will be getting their patches when?

“Later”.
