I have never been one to be a fan of Facebook games, in fact I find most of them rather evil. However, I think I’m finally going to really get into one soon on account it’s promising to give me goodies for Dragon Age II if I play it.
Dragon Age Legends will include the ability to create a character and toss them into the Free Marches city of Kaiten. Players will follow a engaging storyline as they are given quests to complete while they earn loot, rewards, and watch as their kingdom expands – all with their Facebook friends! And as the title of this article suggests, Bioware and EA have said that the game will also give gamers the chance to earn exclusive goodies for Dragon Age II. What kind of goodies? I have no idea! But I’m willing to give the game a chance to find out.
I know what you’re probably thinking – How good can it be as it’ll be a Facebook game? Well… Mark Spenner, General Manager of EA 2D, reassures us by saying, “Our goal is to change the perception of social network games and attract new players to the Facebook platform by raising the quality bar. Dragon Age Legends will deliver a deep, sophisticated experience, and we will continue to delight gamers by adding new features and content far into the future.”
So… if you have a Facebook page and this sounds up your alley, you can expect to see hundreds of invites and spam from your friends via Legends in February 2011. Psssst, if you make it before the cut off, you might even be able to hit up the Beta which begins in January 2011. Just make sure you have a BioWare/EA Account, you’re subscribed to the Dragon Age Newsletter, and you have a Facebook Account (Duh!)
