Well, probably! If a rather excitable chap from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s Twitter is to be believed, that is.
Gaming website Ripten originally found the tweet, posted in Russian. The post roughly translates to “Company #BioWare Award for #VideoGameAwards showed a teaser, in which we can see the first footage #MassEffect 3″. I just need a moment, here.

Okay, now that’s out of my system, it’s looking likely that BioWare will indeed be unveiling Mass Effect 3 at this year’s VGAs. Not only that, but the fact the tweet came from a Sony representative suggests that the game will be available for PlayStation 3 as well as Xbox 360. Not surprising considering, in an act of complete and utter blasphemy and sacrilege – though I’ll be buying it regardless, of course – Mass Effect 2 is coming to PlayStation 3 in January, packed with bonus content.
On the off-chance, tune into the VGAs on December 11th! Mass Effect 2 is due for release on PlayStation 3 on January 28th 2011.

I certainly hope so! Seriously, I would kill for whatever ME3 info that Bioware puts out. Sort of predicting a 2012 release date at this stage.
Am beyond psyched about this news. As a latecomer to the series, it’s surprising how excited I am!
