Game developer Jade Raymond of Ubisoft has confirmed that the core team responsible for 360 exclusive Splinter Cell: Conviction are hard at work developing ‘Splinter Cell 6′. The team based in Toronto, Canada have finally put anxious fans at ease with the announcement that the sequel is actually going ahead, and this announcement marks the first time that the handle ‘Splinter Cell 6′ has been used.
In a promotional video released by Ubisoft yesterday, Raymond a former member of the team responsible for Assassin’s Creed confirmed the new Splinter Cell title as well as outlining the Toronto branches ambitious future.
“We’re working on Splinter Cell 6, the next iteration of the blockbuster franchise, and we’re doing it entirely here in Toronto.”
“Within the next 10 years we plan to ramp up this studio to at least 800 people, and we’re ahead of schedule on that,”
Raymond also spoke of how the current team consisting of 83 staff, have come on board to create the game, among them artists, animators and writers who are busy burning through the first stages of production. At this stage Ubisoft have not estimated any kind of release date or details retaining to the plot, but at this stage that is admittedly previous, but we will naturally keep bringing the news as it breaks!
Splinter Cell: Convicition is currently available exclusively to Xbox 360.

I, myself am looking forward to this release. But before this full new game, could we have a few DLC for Convictions?
I hope the developers stick to the interactive environment with this installment aswell as keeping it an exclusive as PS3 have Medal Gear Solid, so we as X-Box should have Spinter Cell.
