Last month, Microsoft said that HD remakes of classic Xbox games are not likely. Now however, things might be different.
This month’s issue of GamesMaster magazine claims that according to “industry chatter” that Microsoft’s 343 Industries are planning on releasing a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved using the Halo Reach engine, a year before Halo 4.
I think everybody who finished Reach probably said to themselves: “I want to play Halo: CE in this engine RIGHT NOW”! It also makes sense that this would definitely sell as Halo: CE is the game that got the Xbox off the ground. It even gives 343 the chance for their team to get the Halo feel down without much risk or needing to build a new engine.
So, it makes sense, it fits quite nicely between Reach and Halo 4. However will it go ahead? Do you even want it? Let us know in the comments.
