Oh Capcom, you do spoil us. And by us, I mean Xbox 360 owners of course. We’ve lucked out again with yet another downloadable chapter exclusive to the Xbox Live Arcade, this time in the form of Case West, an epilogue to the events of Dead Rising 2. Those disappointed with the non-appearance of Frank West in the main storyline will have their hunger sated next month when Case West is released.
Case West sees Dead Rising 2 protagonist Chuck Greene team up with the original Servbot Mask-wearing, pot plant-wielding zombie ass-kicker extraordinaire Frank West in their quest to unveil the fiendish plans of pharmaceutical company Phenotrans, developers of Zombrex.
Best news of all, those that lamented not only photojournalist Frank’s temporary departure from the series, but also the distinct lack of his snap-happy sideline to the general slicing and dicing of flesh-eating undead freaks, photography will also play a part in Case West. Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, a prologue to the main story, was released in August and went on to become one of the most downloaded Arcade titles of 2010.
Did I just get through writing an entire Dead Rising-related story without succumbing to the urge to say “He’s covered wars, ya know”…?
…Damn.
Dead Rising 2: Case West is due for release in December, exclusive to Xbox 360. Dead Rising 2 is available now for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
