If you are anything like me, your biggest gaming vice during the working week is your iPhone. Whether it’s on the train during your daily commute, or whilst stuck waiting (not so) patiently for appointments, pulling out your iPhone for a quick thumb-fumble seems so much more subtle and professional than breaking out your red, plastic DS. After all, no-one need know you’re flinging little birds into glass houses, you could be doing something vital instead, like working remotely or emailing a client, right?
That said, I’m the first to admit that when it comes to apps? I’m kinda cheap. In fact, in the two years that I’ve owned an iPhone, I can count on one hand the apps that I’ve handed over money for and made the commitment of purchasing the full, “Paid” versions – and only two of those were games.
And that’s why I’m so excited about Daily App Dream.
Daily App Dream is a fairly new online portal that promotes games and gives developers exposure, by offering usually “Paid For” apps for the iPhone for free, for a limited period.
Up until now, users of Daily App Dream could only keep up to date with the latest apps on offer via Twitter or by subscribing via email. However, Daily App Dream has just launched its very own app, which will now give users direct access to the latest app-related promotions, so you can now get your mitts on paid games, for free, even faster!
The app also allows users to submit the titles of games and apps they’d like to see become free in the future, together with integrated Facebook features that allow sharing and posting to friends’ walls. The app also provides users with a platform for writing reviews and giving feedback on available titles, in addition to providing access to critics’ reviews, where available.
And finally, the push notifications feature guarantees you will never miss out on those games and apps you’re desperate to get your hands on for free!
The Daily App Dream iPhone app is now available free, from the Apple App Store on iTunes.
