Activision confirm PROTOTYPE 2
Activision have confirmed that a sequel to 2009 best-selling action adventure PROTOTYPE is currently in development, following its debut in trailer form at the 2010 Video Game Awards last weekend.
The team are keeping tight-lipped on the forthcoming sequel’s vital statistics but they have revealed, for those that missed it the first time around, the original PROTOTYPE is to be unleashed on the PlayStation Store and Xbox 360 Games on Demand as a downloadable title this week.
Radical Entertainment’s Ken Rosman said in today’s press release, “When PROTOTYPE surpassed 2MM units we knew gamers would want a sequel to find out what happens next with Alex Mercer. The team here at Radical is sincerely grateful to the fans and we are laser focused on delivering an even bigger and better experience with PROTOTYPE 2!”
PROTOTYPE 2 is currently tipped for a 2012 release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The original game is available for download now via Xbox 360 Games on Demand and will be released on the PlayStation Store on December 14th.
