British newspaper, The Daily Express has taken a leap into the mobile digital age and now offers its word-based puzzles to consumers beyond the realms of its readership, via a brand new iPhone and iPad app. The app, developed by Wired Productions boasts over 1200 puzzles in total, offering Crosswords, Word Puzzlers, Number Crunch, Codeword, Sudoku, and Wordsearch brain-teasers in both standard and High Definition. Each puzzle type has been specially recreated for Apple’s mobile devices and comes complete with an intuitive interface, in-game support, clues, and time-based challenges.
The collection of puzzles have been devised by the Press Association, which currently provide puzzle-based content to a wide variety of print-based press. And, we have been reassured that the electronic versions have been designed to the same high standards as their paper counterparts.
Available to play on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod, Daily Express Puzzles is now available from the App Store, priced £2.99 for the standard version and £3.99 for HD.

Hate to sound sarky, but it’s a shame it’s from The Daily Express.
Rather them than the Daily Mail. ;)
Urgh, both make me shudder! ;)
