Xbox-exclusive Dreamcast collection due in February

16 Jan, 2011

How exciting!… Well no, not really. It turns out the previously-announced SEGA Dreamcast collection will comprise purely of the Xbox Live Arcade HD ports already available – or available soon.

The collection will include Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi, both available on the Marketplace now, plus Space Channel 5: Part 2 – never-before released on UK shores – and SEGA Bass Fishing (sans rod) both due for release on the XBLA in early 2011. Though the disc collection is currently Xbox 360-exclusive, the individual download titles are also available for PS3 via the PlayStation Store.

The SEGA Dreamcast Collection is due for release exclusively for Xbox 360 on February 25th.

While we’re on the subject, which Dreamcast classics would you like to see re-released in all their HD splendour? Leave your comments below! First person to say Shenmue gets a pony.*

I was talking about this with someone else, and my first response was “Where is Shenmue?”. Honestly Sega, where is it? Skies of Arcadia? Honestly can’t see myself picking up this pack.

I’m excited about Space Channel 5 Part 2 just because it was never released over here, but the rest of them haven’t aged well and Sonic Adventure wasn’t much cop to begin with.

Where’s Metropolis Street Racer, Fur Fighters, Phantasy Star Online, I could go on…
