That got your attention didn’t it! This month’s Official PlayStation Magazine dossier is full of conspiracy, scandal and intrigue with rumours that Solid Snake intends to follow in the footsteps of stealth rival Sam Fisher, as the first three Metal Gear Solid titles are apparently “in the queue” for a high-definition facelift.
Whether the collection will be released on a Blu-ray disc or via the PlayStation Network – or indeed both – is not yet known, nor is any sort of release date, though for the millions of Metal Gear fans out there this will be very, very exciting news. Sony and Konami are yet to confirm or deny the rumours. We’ll keep you posted!
As of 2010, the Metal Gear games have sold over 27 million copies collectively, making it one of the most successful video game franchises in history.
