A leaked promotional trailer for Rockstar’s crime thriller L.A Noire has allegedy exposed the release date as May 17th, before being pulled by Take Two Interactive. Developed by some of the creative brains behind VGAs Game of Year award 2010 Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto, the 1940s neo-noire thriller has been picking up major interest in the passing weeks as Rockstar up the output of promotional material for the game ahead of it’s previous unspecified release.
As to whether the alleged date of May 17th is to be taken as a world wide release date or just for North America is unclear, but almost all sites who have uploaded the leaked video have been forced to take it down at the request of Take Two. The trailer is said to depict the leading man Detective Phelps on the hunt for a serial killer as well as showcasing the variety of available cases your character can take on, such as vice, homicide and traffic as examples.
Most excitingly of all, the trailer gives prospective players the opportunity to get another look at the technological revolution that is MotionScan in action, in the form of a scene showing our leading gents in a seedy nightclub. Computer and Videogames are predicting that the trailer will be available in full from Monday afternoon.
