With all the chaos; panic and disorder swirling around in regards to Modern Warfare 2 being hacked to pieces on the PS3, Activision have announced that they are pulling in additional resources to help out with the completion of Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 3. In the fallout of West and Zampella’s high profile dispute with Activision which led to their departure to join EA, developers ‘Sledgehammer Studios’ and ‘Raven’ are being wheeled in to provide support in completing the project.
Cynicism is running high amongst the fans, who are worried that the sequel will become a poor man’s Black Ops, which despite it’s rave critical reception turned out to be a huge disappointment to a lot of players in the fanbase. It is allegedly Activision’s intention to have the game ready for Christmas 2011 in what seems to be another attempt of their part to dominate the Christmas game market.
Given that Modern Warfare was the chief reason that I decided to give Call of Duty another go, after being left feeling flat after the a work-a-day WWII shooters, I am really pleased to finally see what happened to the likes of Captain Price and Soap after MW2′s dramatic ending. However given my own cynicism about Activision and Treyarch’s additions to the franchise and having been bored to tears and generally uninspired by ‘World at War’ and ‘Black Ops’ it does leave me feeling a little uneasy about Modern Warfare 3. In the interest of fairness I will reserve my final judgement until we see the game, since of the course the proof of the pudding is in the tasting!

That’s great but does that mean they’re not making or trying to find a solution/patch to these hackers on PS3?
It could well end up meaning that. If they decide to plug all energies into the next money maker MW2 could die on it’s ass.
Still, it is very much in their interest to get MW2 fixed, consumers are much less likely to trust their products in future if they don’t.
fuck modernwarfare 3 im not shit from them assholes again especially after the dissapointment from COD4 MW and MW2 and that shitty game called Blackops
wait wait what, which company is joining EA? if its the modernwarefare making that another reason not to buy it EA see us as cash cows and come out with stupid ideas. i love MW games blackops was complete trash. i would just get bc3 but i played the beta of that and its a total step backwards from bc2 so i guess modern war FPS games are off the grid :(
