First Operation Flashpoint: Red River dev diary released

The first entry in a planned series of developer diaries for Codemasters’ tactical shooter sequel Operation Flashpoint: Red River is available now.

Speaking on the film, which includes some explosive gameplay footage, executive producer Adam Parsons said “As far as I’m concerned, Red River gets you as close as you can to being in the boots of a Marine. We’ve addressed a lot of the criticisms from the community within Red River by putting in new features.”

Operation Flashpoint: Red River takes place in the year 2013, as a civil war erupts in the Republic of Tajikistan. The sequel to 2009′s Dragon Rising, Red River boasts improved shooting mechanics, an immersive narrative and drop-in-drop-out co-operative gameplay for up to four players.
