From January 31st until February 6th, the updated version of Dark Energy Digital’s submerging survival horror title Hydrophobia is available via Xbox LIVE at the absolute bargain price of 400 Microsoft Points.
And as if that wasn’t enough good news, anyone partaking in this most generous of offers will be entered into a massive prize draw to win a holiday worth $4500!
To enter you must be aged 18 or over and reside in the US or the UK. Five runners-up will receive a prize of 4000 Microsoft Points – not to be sniffed at!
In a press release sent out today, Dark Energy’s Joint Creative Director, Pete Jones, said, “This is a great offer; at 400 Microsoft Points ($5.00) there has never been a better time to dive in and experience the changes we have made to Hydrophobia – AND the sweepstake makes this a perfect storm.”
Hydrophobia was initially released in September last year, to heavy criticism from many reviewers citing an array of technical flaws. A huge title update released in December rectified these issues, along with an updated graphics engine and an overhauled control scheme.

Looks like I might be about to part with some more money!
You should Mikey! It’s a great game, especially now the problems with it have been fixed, and for 400 points it’s a real bargain!
Well, I’ve got the points sorted, so just need to download it. How many hours gameplay is it? Trying to figure out if I have time to complete it before Yakuza 3 (hopefully) turns up tomorrow.
Stupid age limit! Screw you “must be age 18 or older” ;_; I’m close enough…. XD Although I did take advantage of this epic price for Hydrophobia anyways because I mean, you can’t really beat half price for a full game like this. :D
