Limbo and Inertia walk away winners at 2011 Indie Game Challenge

Recently The Indie Game Challenge announced that Playdead’s LIMBO and Team Hermes’ Inertia are the big winners of the second annual Indie Game Challenge and will walk away with $100,000. The top teams were named on the closing night of the annual D.I.C.E.(TM) (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Summit at the Red Rock Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Limbo, available on Xbox Live arcade, was once again recognised as one of the best indie games of 2010 and took the ‘professional’ grand prize along with an extre $2,500 for winning Achievement in Art Direction.

Inertia took home the ‘non-professional’ grand prize and raked in a combined extra of $15,000 for winning the categories of Achievement in Gameplay, Technical Achievement, and Gamer’s Choice Award.
