Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood gets PC release date

16 Feb, 2011

The long awaited PC incarnation of Ubisoft’s smash hit sequel Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, has finally been given a concrete release date. The Renaissance era stealth title featuring everyones favourite badass ancestor Ezio will be released on March 18th, nearly 4 months after it’s initial launch on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Those expecting to see perhaps some new and exclusive content to compensate for their long wait will be sadly disappointed, as Ubisoft have put to bed any rumours of additional content. Instead the creators have promised that Brotherhood on the PC will sport exemplary visuals turning up to 11 the lighting, shadow and character details, as well as throwing in improved audio.

In addition to this announcement, this week Ubisoft also released the sale figures to date for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood boasting 6.5 million units shipped world wide. The title is currently available on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

I have only played the X-Box 360 versions, but as an avid PC gamer aswell I feel cheated that the PC gaming community waited extensive time for this release not to be reimbursed with at least one piece of exclusive content.

I would have thought by now with PS3 and X-Box 360 all getting custom content via DLC that the PC community would have some DLC content aswell for the game…..not just for Assassins Creed but for many other games on the market too.
