As a fan of all things sci-fi and fantasy what I like most about the Arcana Heart series is the fact it’s set in a futuristic Japan yet features a fair dose of fantasy elements. The long running series is also well known for its exclusively female cast and unique Elemental Alignment combat system that allows fighters to be paired with different elements for over 500 different character combinations, its hyper-colourful artwork, and fluid fights which take place as much in the air as they do on the ground.
As recently announced the latest instalment, Arcana Heart 3, will be coming to both Europe and North America for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this Spring and is set to feature a fully voiced story mode, HD anime graphics and will include the usual training mode, score attack, and online play. There will also be three new fighters, bringing the total number of characters to 23.
“We’re really excited to be able to bring Arcana Heart 3 to Europe,” said Geraint Evans, Marketing Manager at Zen United earlier this week. “The success of the BlazBlue series in the UK and around Europe has demonstrated the level of passion and support in the market for innovative fighting games. We’re thrilled to be able to answer fans’ demand for this superb fighting series.”
