This is a game about ninjas! Firstly, if you know what that’s referencing, then kudos to you!
Warner Bros. Interactive have today released a trailer for their upcoming title, LEGO Ninjago, which is going to be available this spring. The game is exclusive to the Nintendo DS, and focuses on two brothers battling brothers, both of whom are bound to protect the weapons of spinjitzu, the games fighting technique where the player uses turbulent spinning to overcome enemies. One is on the side of light, the other on the side of darkness. While this plot does sound a bit cliché, the game does show some promise, particularly in its multiplayer section. However, it does seem to be a step away from the lego titles which we have come used to in the recent years, such as Lego Batman and Lego: Harry Potter.
I guess we’ll see in Spring as to whether the game stands on its own within the Lego franchise.
NINJAS?! That’s my favourite genre in Game Dev Story! :D
