The previously-announced story content package designed to bridge the gap between Mass Effect 2 and forthcoming series finale Mass Effect 3 is closing in, if updated trophy data included in today’s patch is any indication.
The PlayStation 3 version of ME2 updated to version 1.01 today, improving loading times, tweaking performance and fixing the well-documented save corruption bug. Even better, the update has also revealed three new trophies pertaining to a new add-on, called Arrival.
Last month’s final Cerberus Network entry referred to scientist Dr. Amanda Kenson, whose research has uncovered an ancient race pre-dating the Protheans – her name features in the trophy descriptions. Even more intriguing, the chapter completion trophy is named ‘The Ultimate Sacrifice’. Could Shepard be forced to allow a squad mate to perish in the line of duty? Watch this space!
Mass Effect 3 is due for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this holiday season.
