GGS Podcast 005: Sequels, Sales & Lots of Screaming

GGS Podcast 005: Sequels, Sales & Lots of Screaming

2 Mar, 2011

Wow, it’s been two weeks since Valentine’s already? Is it me or did that go really, really quickly?

In this episode Andy, Jen, Tom and a doped-up-on-painkillers Vikki discuss, amongst other things, the Modern Warfare 3 rumours, insane trade-in deals and why we don’t think we’ll ever go into Playstation Home again. In our feature discussion, we talk about DLC and sequels and whether or not we feel some of the industry’s most popular franchises are doing it for the love or just the revenue …

We also share our experience of the inaugural Global Playthrough, recorded live as we undertook a collaborative seven hour Dead Space 2 marathon and tried to complete as much of the game as possible.

Please head on over to iTunes to listen and/or subscribe to our latest offering (well, as soon as the ‘cast has been indexed and added, anyway). Alternatively, you may listen or download it right here from the site (left-click to play it in your browser, hit right and Save As to download). Easy, eh?

Remember, the email address for all competition entries is win@ ggsgamer.com so if you haven’t yet entered all of our competitions just yet (and listen back to our previous podcast if you want a hint ;)) you still have time!

As always, please feel free to get in touch and let us know what you think by emailing us or dropping a comment at the end of this post. And if you liked what you heard please rate and review us over at the iTunes store! Don’t forget, everyone who reviews us on iTunes and/or tweets about our podcast on Twitter will be in with the chance of winning some Dead Space 2 goodies!

Finally, thanks to Andy for the fabulous editing (hacking three hours of Dead-Space-2-induced screaming into five minutes is a sizeable feat) and frighteningly swift turnaround. Thanks also to my brother, Phil, who composed our new podcast jingle. I believe it’s a thank you for the co-op recommendations we gave him on the last episode!
