A few weeks ahead of the hotly-anticipated release of Aya Brea’s brand new horror action RPG The 3rd Birthday, its spiritual predecessor Parasite Eve will be released on the PSN store in the US tomorrow.
The first Parasite Eve game opens on Christmas Eve, 1997 in New York City; rookie policewoman Aya’s happy holiday is rather spoiled when everyone at the opera spontaneously combusts for no apparent reason.
Despite being extremely popular worldwide, the first Parasite Eve game still hasn’t had the benefit of any kind of European release. Unsurprisingly, as of yet Sony bring no word of a European PSN release for Parasite Eve. Both the original Parasite Eve and its 2000 sequel have been available to download in Japan since November 2010.
Parasite Eve is released on the US PlayStation Store tomorrow. The 3rd Birthday – starring Yvonne Strahovski, the face and voice of Mass Effect 2 babe Miranda Lawson – is due for release in the US on March 29th, following in Europe on April 1st, exclusive to the PSP.
