It’s no secret, we love Mass Effect here at GGS Gamer, perhaps a little too much. So you can imagine my delight waking up this morning to discover that finally- we have some news about the shady ‘Arrival’ DLC due for Mass Effect 2.
The content which was originally brought the attention of fans via a patch for Mass Effect 2 on PS3, seemingly in place to fix some of the loading issues that had blighted the first run of the game’s Playstation incarnation. However it soon became clear that we had also been left a little gift, in the form of a few extra trophies on the our lists relating to a supposedly impending piece of content named ‘Arrival’. In addition to this, Dragon Age II buyers also found teasing pamphlets inside the boxes of their shiny new game sporting to the N7 insignia and stating ‘The Arrival has begun, Invasion commence’. As of yet however, BioWare have yet to comment on any of this or officially confirm ‘Arrival’- until now perhaps.
Fans following BioWare on Facebook were last night treated to this image, with the caption: ‘New Mass Effect 2 screenshots have Arrived. I’ll release a new one tomorrow if you share this one and help us get 750,000 impressions!’ Note the capitalisation of Arrived? I see what you did there. As you can imagine, this has sent a shockwave of trouser-wetting excitement across the fan communities desperate for their final fix before we get geared up to drag our Shepard’s screaming into the final showdown, and lead us one step closer to uncovering the true nature of ‘The Ultimate Sacrifice’. Don’t leave us hanging too long BioWare!
