The high-definition update of Ubisoft’s criminally-overlooked action adventure game Beyond Good & Evil is due for release on the PlayStation Network in May.
The cult classic, starring photojournalist Jade and her pig pal Pey’J, was released in stunning HD via the Xbox Live Arcade on March 2nd. Not only will PSN users soon get to play the game, those who make the purchase within the first two weeks will also receive two free avatars.
Despite stellar reviews and a massive following, Beyond Good & Evil was a commercial failure when it was released in 2003. Plans for a sequel were cancelled following the game’s poor performance. However, in 2008 Ubisoft designer Michel Ansel announced that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is in the works. Check out the official trailer for Beyond Good & Evil HD below!
