Racing game gurus, Codemasters, have today confirmed the sequel to F1 2010, along with a release date. F1 2011 is set to be released in stores on September 23rd, 2011 and is available for pre-order.
The follow up to the BAFTA Award winning F1 2010, will be available on many platforms including Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and as a PC game for Windows. Furthermore, F1 2011 is also being developed for handheld releases on both the Nintendo 3DS and Sony’s NGP. Release dates for the handheld devices have not yet been given.
F1 2011 will build off it’s predecessor, once again letting the player ‘Be the driver, live the life, go compete’. Codemasters are promising vast improvements in various aspects of the game, including competitive and cooperative multiplayer. Players will be able to compete as their favourite drivers from the 2011 Formula One World Championship, with all teams, players and tracks from the latest F1 series. This includes the return of the racing fan favourite Nürburgring, as well as the debut of the Indian Grand Prix’s Jaypee International Race Circuit in Delhi.
So whether you’re a fan of Hamilton, Button or the latest F1 Champion Sebastian Vettel; this game is certainly one to look forward to!
