L.A. Noire to be First Videogame at Tribeca Film Festival

29 Mar, 2011

Rockstar Games made an announcement earlier today that their upcoming title, L.A. Noire, will be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival. Here is a peek at the poster, as released by Rockstar:

According to an official statement by RockStar Games, this is the first time a video game has ever been recognized by the festival, an annual film affair celebrating all things independent that was first founded in 2003 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff. An exclusive preview for the game will be presented on Monday, April 25th.

Says Geoff Gilmore, the Chief Creative Officer of Tribeca Enterprises, “What Rockstar and Team Bondi have accomplished with L.A. Noire is nothing less than groundbreaking. It’s an invention of a new realm of storytelling that is part cinema, part gaming, and a whole new realm of narrative expression, interactivity, and immersion. We are poised on the edge of a new frontier.”
