Valve: “We are Not Done with Gordon Freeman’s Adventures”

Valve: “We are Not Done with Gordon Freeman’s Adventures”

30 Mar, 2011

Bet that caught your eye, huh? In an interview with AusGamers, Valve’s PR head honcho Doug Lombardi tells it like it is.

If you can recall, the dramatic story of Half-Life 2 ended with a (literal) in-your-face cliffhanger with Episode 2, first released on The Orange Box back in 2007. If you haven’t played the series yet, I highly recommend you do so. Just so you can feel our collective pain in wanting to send some Combine behind back to whence they came.

Amidst the chit chat of Valve’s growing Steamworks service, Lombardi chatted about digital distribution versus physical retail, and life at Valve Software. He also assured us that there certainly was more in the future of Half-Life. It’s just not today.

“You will ever see it, yes,” said Lombardi. “We are not done with Gordon Freeman’s adventures. I have nothing other than that to tell you today, but hang in there with us.”

And hang in there I shall do.
