Community q: what’s your dream gaming industry job?

1 Apr, 2011

Welcome to our weekly Community Q!

Once a week we flip the tables and listen to what you guys have to say . . . rather than sitting back and make you listen to us!

Community Q: Today GGS Gamer are off to visit the wonderful lads and lasses over at Ginx TV, the first international TV channel dedicated to videogames (we really hope that the invitation wasn’t a joke!). To celebrate, we thought we’d ask you what your dream game industry job would be. Are you into presenting? Reviewing? Testing? Producing? Designing? What position would you snap up, if given the choice?

Tell us your opinion – and your reasons behind it – right here in the comments! Or how about joining our forums and talking about it over there? :)

Got an idea for a future Community Q question? Drop us a line and tell us about it!

Strangely enough, my actual aim is to get a job in the games industry at some point. My main love is licensing, distribution and IP acquisition. Odd, I know.

  2. I would love to be a games designer or audio developer :) maybe one day…

Design, I’d like the dreaming phase better than the implementation headache.

I would love to be a be a script writer, or involved in the coming up of the story and characterisation. That would be fantastic!

I would love to be a reviewer, and someone who gets to see all the latest and the greatest. I’ve always loved to be the researching and sniffing out kinda stuff. I don’t know what kind of position would cover all that…
