When PopCap announced a possible new title, “Unpleasant Horse,” earlier this week, many (and not surprisngly) were hesitant to take it seriously, especially coming off the heels of April 1st hijinx and antics from around the industry.
Today, PopCap announced that Unpleasant Horse will be the first game released from its new label called “4th & Battery.” According to a welcome note from PopCap Head of Studios Ed Allard on 4th & Battery’s website, the studio’s aim is to bring “our more experimental ideas to customers.”
And boy, do these experiments show in their first offering. The objective of Unpleasant Horse is to stay afloat by jumping on other horses and using them as leverage to get higher into the sky. The fun part? Well, it’s the meat grinders placed on the ground, and as you jump on the other “cuter” horses, they go falling down into said meat grinders.
While it appears that the primary console for 4th & Battery may be the iOS systems, the website states that other consoles may not be far behind: “…stay tuned. Always in motion is the future.”
