Ubisoft recently hosted a small art exhibition for a minute number of invited guests and media in Munich, Germany. Of course, anytime Ubisoft is mentioned, we typically think of Assassin’s Creed these days.
The traveling exhibition had made some stops in Paris and Montreal along the way, exhibiting concept art and other works never seen before by the public for the past three Assassin’s Creed titles. Just 50 guests were allowed to attend the Munich get-together, and one very lucky journalist sat down with the art director for Assassin’s Creed III, Mohammed Gambouz.
When asked about the direction of Assassin’s Creed III, Gambouz answered with the following:
Well, I personally would do something completely new. Maybe something in an Asian or South American setting, at least nothing that we have already made. But in the end it’s not my decision. But you can be sure that we read the reactions of our customers in forums, blogs and Facebook and Twitter very closely and also seriously talk through the suggestions from our players from time to time. In the next few months you will truly experience more details.
If what Gambouz says is true, this would certainly be a nice change from the old roads and stones of Italy in the past two installments. Gambouz did not reveal anything else in regards to where exactly the AC3 would be.
We’ll have to wait and see what’s happening with the upcoming title, or maybe it’ll knife us in the neck before we can tell.
