Barely moments after FINAL FANTASY V made its PSone Classics debut, Square Enix have announced via Twitter that, due to increasingly high demand, FFVI will be released on the Japanese PlayStation Store next week.
No word on a release in Europe or North America as of yet, although Square aren’t known for letting their Western fans down. The PSN release of FFVI follows hot on the heels of its arrival on the Wii Virtual Console last month.
FINAL FANTASY VI was voted the series peak by IGN and GamesRadar readers, topping their respective countdowns of the franchise’s best installments.
FINAL FANTASY VI will hit the Japan PSN Store on April 20th.
